The STAR Publishing Company was established in 1986 by Rick Wayne and his wife Mae. The company is without doubt the largest of its kind in St Lucia, with five publications to its credit. Mae Wayne is STAR Publishing's managing director. Rick Wayne is the Publisher and Editorial Director.

The STAR newspaper first started "bringing the truth to light" in April 1987. Published every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the paper covers local events and politics at home and regionally. The STAR is also heavy into the arts and local sports. For good reason the newspaper is best known for its no-nonsense journalism and no-holds-barred opinion pieces. SHE Caribbean magazine is published bi-monthly. Women aged between 25 and 44 make up the magazine’s prime readership group. Tropical Traveller was first published monthly in May 1989. Directed primarily at visitors to St Lucia, TT (as it's affectionately called) is extremely popular both with tourists and native St Lucians. Local nightlife, culture, holidays, tours, visitor profiles are just some of the items that make up TT's exciting editorials. Certainly it has become the visitor's bible. St Lucia Jazz Magazine is published annually. The magazine highlights the biggest Caribbean party which hosts some of the world’s most celebrated artistes coupled with the ambience of some of the most beautiful venues. The Jazz Magazine is distributed FREE to Jazz patrons and tourists.

Aqua Isles, St. Lucia’s sailing & boating yearbook is published annually. The yearbook will be specifically targeted towards tourism (including pleasure and luxury craft) and island sports. It will provide sectionalized tourist information of specific tourist information of specific island areas and places of interest to families and individuals, as well as a full sailing calendar. Aqua Isles will be distributed free in Gran Canaria and St. Lucia; all Tourist Board offices locally and overseas. On sale in UK news stands and at credited locations. Printed in 8.5” x 11” format, in full color on glossy paper.
