New landmark for St Lucian events
New landmark for St Lucian events

Rising above expectations . . . Thinking beyond boundaries." These are watchwords of the newly restructured, refocused and re-branded Landmark Events—St Lucia’s most comprehensive special events company which launched on April 25, 2008. "Expect to be dazzled" was the warning on the corporate invitation to the gala affair at Sandals Grande this Friday evening.

The new company’s tagline is "Above and Beyond" which speaks volumes about the standard Landmark Events has set for itself in terms of service quality to its growing clientele including major hotels, public agencies, corporations and private individuals.

Born of two trend-setting companies, Landmark Events has a 20-year history inherited from its parents Jen-s Designs and Rent a Tent Plus, both of which have grown quietly on their reputations for originality and professionalism. Now, Landmark Events is poised to define a new service frontier for the special events sector in St Lucia by offering the region’s most comprehensive range of products and services including event planning, production, infrastructure and custom designed dÈcor.

"We have created a unique company. We can help with virtually any size function from a backyard barbeque to an international music festival," says administrative and human resource manager Jeanine Fricot-Miller, who joined the Group in 2007. "We have worked hard to create a team of professionals that are experienced and ready to deliver exceptional products, services and events to the St Lucian market and beyond."

"There is a new dynamic energy radiating from the 20-member team at Landmark Events; great ideas, fresh creativity, bold energy and the organizational efficiency that translates into exceptional value for our customers," so says sales and marketing director, Tracey Warner-Arnold. "Landmark Events is serious about growth and development within its team, as well as growth as a regional leader. We’re responsive, market driven and open to new ideas, and want to maintain these fundamentals as we continue to grow," she said.

That’s exactly why the company has gone about quietly reinventing itself, redesigning its internal systems and putting the right people in place. The result is a company with an admirable regional profile positioned to offer one-stop shopping to the growing events sector at home and abroad.

CEO Adrian Augier, recently featured in Business Focus and the Who’s Who of St Lucia Business, is clearly the company’s artistic and entrepreneurial epicentre. A trained economist and talented artist, his unusual combination of passion and mind may well account for the dynamism of the Landmark model and the company’s unique ability to bridge that uncharted space between commerce and creativity.

Already Landmark’s teamwork has helped to produce many notable events; Bank of St Lucia’s AutoMax, SLHTA’s Masquerade Ball, and the FirstCaribbean Home Show. The company also owns and operates several successful brands of its own, including the Kalalu World Music Festival, Word Alive, Rituals Carnival band and the six-acre special events facility, Samaans Park, located at Choc Bay. Well into its third operating year, the park has accommodated a diversity of events from tradeshows and music festivals to parties and poetry readings.

Now a single-shop-front service provider, Landmark Events is a genuine partnership of people and ideas helping clients move from concept to completion and offering the most diversified in-house special events inventory available. It is just this sort cost effective creativity that earned the Group the Chamber of Commerce 2007 Award; Service Exporter of the Year.
