What are your views on Sir John’s Cabinet appointments? Monday, December 25, 2006 (1367 reads)
Jacques Compton, writer, Castries: I anticipated most of the appointments as they stand. The only one I did not anticipate was Ausbert d’auvergne’s, but he is a master strategist, good development economist and hard worker. He has been in the system before. I even anticipated Allen Chastanet as minister for tourism.

Shirley-Ann Peters, vendor, Castries: I am very happy at the turn of events for the general election. I am a bit surprised that the United Workers Party won. Never did I imagine that they would be our new government. But you know the people have spoken and they have received exactly what they wanted.

Which is your favored party to form the next government? Monday, December 11, 2006 (1201 reads)
Cathy Richards, student, Castries: I think the St Lucia Labour Party should remain. They have done a great deal for this country within the nine years that they have been in office and I am almost certainly sure that they can do a lot more. We just have to give them the chance to prove themselves even more to the people of St Lucia.
