The tournament officially got underway that afternoon at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Complex, despite a heavy downpour that delayed the proceedings. It’s just further indication of how badly St Lucia needs a proper indoor facility.

BMW tournament more than just golf

Players had been foregathering at the new and rather grand clubhouse from before 7am where coffee buns and juice were laid out for the sustenance of competitors.
