Windies name players for training camp
Windies name players for training camp

 

The West Indies selectors on Tuesday named 17 players including St Lucia’s Darren Sammy, to participate in a training camp, in preparation for the Digicel Home Series 2008 against Australia. The camp runs from May 12 to 17 in Antigua.The Digicel Home Series 2008 between West Indies and Australia will have three Test matches. The first takes place in Sabina Park, Jamaica, from May 22-26. Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua, May 30 to June 3 and Kensington Oval, Barbados, June 12-16.

There will be five One-Day Internationals, beginning at Amos Vale, St Vincent, June 24; Grenada National Stadium, June 27-29; and Warner Park, St Kitts, July 4 and 6. There is also a Twenty20 International at Kensington Oval, Barbados on June 20.

Full squad: Sulieman Benn, Patrick Browne, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Fidel Edwards, Ryan Hinds, Amit Jaggernauth, Runako Morton, Darren sammy, Marlon Samuels, Devon Smith, Brenton Parchment, William Perkins, Keiron Pollard, Daren Powell, Denesh Ramdin, Kemar Roach, Jerome Taylor.

On Tuesday, Australia announced a 15-man Test and 14-man One-Day International squad for the pending tour of the Caribbean. Test squad: Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Clarke, Beau Casson, Stuart Clark, Brad Haddin, Matthew Hayden, Ben Hilf enhaus, Michael Hussey, Phil Jaques, Mitchell Johnson, Katich, Brett Lee, Stuart MacGill, Ashley Noffke and Andrew Symonds. ODI Squad: Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Clarke, Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Brad Haddin, Matthew Hayden, James Hopes, david Hussey, Michael Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Shaun Marsh, Andrew Symonds, Cameron White.
