Children are often told to be “seen and not heard”. Sometimes, little kids are expected to “speak only when spoken to”, and it must be hard to break that habit. However, as we get older, it becomes more and more important to be opinionated. We, as young adults, are learning how to survive in the grown-up-world, and therefore must get our points across, but also must respectfully listen when other people try to do the same.

I was doing my usual channel surfing recently when Headline Prime’s Glenn Beck flashed onto my screen. On that particular night the host of the show, that somehow reminds of Spoof News, was talking about the world’s VIWs (Very Important Women). Of course, as I’m always seeking fresh fodder for Woman’s World my right hand soon dropped onto my thigh as my index finger retreated from the remote buttons.
